Olamaboro local government just like other local government area in Kogi state and Nigeria at large, we have abundant natural resources that we cannot use unless the government come to our rescue so also we have enough problems that we cannot solve by ourselves.
Of the various challenges confronting the Local government area, motorcycle is not among the top hundred problems facing us. So where ever the present administration get their motorcycle distribution template from is wrong.
We have numerous primary healthcare centres across villages and towns in the local government who building are wearing a dilapidated look, poor medical supply and availability of medical personnel to them, such hospital are also lacking various facilities like good bedding and mattress,not to talk of power generating system like a generator or other medical equipment. Some of these health centres is only a room apartment which is often at the expense of the host community.
There are also local markets that if proper attention is given to them, it will boost the internal generated revenue of the local government. These markets has existed for some years now without a new market stall but the old structure that the market started with where most of the roofs are already leaking and some have been blown off by wind. Funny enough, the local government revenue officers go those local market every market day to collect tax which are not properly used.
What if these motorcycle are been distributed to the local health workers who manned the various primary healthcare centres across the villages and towns?
The problem predate this present administration but one would have thought that this administration will tackle these problems heads on and not the other way round.
