That moment a sister walks briskly along the road until she reaches the beautiful bungalow located in a quiet avenue.
She knocks and presses the doorbell simultaneously but no one answers. She presses the doorbell for a long time until a dog nearby begins to bark to warn her to stop disturbing him.
She finds a chair and sits there waiting for the occupant of the house. After 45 minutes, she lifts her head up and sees someone coming with a shopping bag while on the phone talking with someone.
Sister Sandra rises up in anger waiting to explode, "Welcome! I say welcome! Bro Solomon, the love poet"
Solomon hung up to greet her, "Good day, Sandra! How are you doing? Nice to see you."
"Nothing is good in the day and nothing is nice to see about me. I am not here to play." Sandra says in anger.
In his usual manner, Solomon keeps quiet and brings out his bunch of keys to open the door.
"You are not going inside. Stay here and talk to me, you deceitful brother!"
Solomon smiles and tries to open the door but Sandra collects the shopping bag from his hand and empties it on the ground.
"I said we must settle it once and for all here. Do you want to rape me inside?" she roars again.
He bends down to pack the food items and fruits he just bought from the supermarket.
"Sandra, what happened? Let me drop everything inside and I will attend to you here" he begs her.
Without hesitation, she pulls his shirt in anger and his phone falls on the ground. The sound of the broken screen causes them to look at each other surprisingly.
"Sandra! My new phone!" he cries out.
She steps back out of fear, "You deserve it. You are an ingrate. After all my labour of love and sacrifices to keep this relationship you still deceived me"
Solomon stood still for some minutes holding the broken phone in his hand, "Sandra.... Sandra..... See what your anger has caused.... Really, I am not happy with your action"
"Fake brother.... Deceitful brother....Anyway your senior brother Solomon in the Bible did the same thing" she says angrily.
"Sandra, tell me my offence. What did I do? Please, I will apologise." he pleads.
Sandra hisses and raises her hand to heaven, "Listen, our courtship ends today. I gave you my love and even spent my money on you and you still went ahead to propose to Lucy. Hmnn, is it because of her beauty? You are a fool...."
She leaves without allowing him to explain himself. He stood there like a man robbed of his only shirt and trousers.
Solomon enters into his apartment to pray and ask God for His grace and strength to cope with her attitude. He tries to reach out to her many times but all to no avail.
After six months, God gives him another wonderful woman. They are in courtship when Sandra realises her mistake and comes back.
"Solomon, I have realised my mistake. I heard one Bro Solomon proposed to her and I thought you were the one. Do you know Bro Steve in the welfare committee? He showed me the picture where both of you were talking at the Torafol bus stop. I was consumed with Jealousy and anger.... (sobs again) Bro Steve deceived me into entering a relationship with him until the truth was revealed. I am sorry.... I am really sorry.... " She pleads with tears.
Solomon smiles and says, "Oh no.... Sister Sandra.....It was a mistake and God has turned it into my favour. I have forgiven you and I pray the Lord will uproot your anger and give you a heart of flesh. It is well"
"Amen.... Em... Em.... I am ready now.... I mean.... Can we continue our relationship?" She asks.
Solomon smiles again and says, "Jesus' love binds us together but I am engaged to a wonderful and humble sister....."
She cut in, "No..... Solomon, you can't do this to me. Remember our testimonies how God revealed His will to us. I am sorry....."
Solomon checks his wristwatch, "Sandra, my fiancée will soon arrive from Barcelona. I have to leave for the airport. God bless you." he leaves without looking back.
Sandra is confused and bursts into tears realising how her anger and impatience lead her to forfeit God's will for her.
Anger.... Impatience.... Jealousy...... Three little foxes that can destroy flourishing relationship.
Beloved, one of the reasons God delays answering your prayer about marriage is to deal with the root of anger, impatience and ungodly jealousy. These damaging traits must be dealt with if you want to go far in any relationship.
Sandra jumped into conclusion without proper verification. She lost a wonderful brother despite the clear confirmation he was God's will for her.
Beloved, knowing that he/she is God's will doesn't mean there won't be a replacement if one of them takes the relationship for granted or allows sin to come in.
There is a place called "benefit of doubt". Wait there and think before you take any action. What you heard about him/her may be false. Ask and listen.
There are enemies of your relationship and your watchfulness coupled with prayers will be useful to silence them.
I have a Friend who is called Jesus Christ. He is able to save your soul and purge away every trait of anger and other sins. Come to Him and your life will never remain the same.
God is the God of second chance. He can restore your broken relationship or gives you a new one. Trust in Him and your testimony shall be great.
